The vines that give Pierre Ferrand its distinctive style are planted on the Angeac terrior in the heart of Grande Champagne, considered the Premier Cru de Cognac. The unfiltered wine is distilled over lees in small copper pot stills, which feature a distinctive onion-shaped head that helps concentrate the aromas and flavors of the wine. The fresh eau de vie is then collected from the still and aged in small Limousin oak barrels, until the Cognac is blended into its final expression.
