In the triangle between Tanaro and Belbo, lies one of the most important winemaking areas in Italy. It encompasses 99 towns in the province of Alessandria and 118 towns in the province of Asti. Mombaruzzo, the town where Pico Maccario is located, has contributed through the centuries to the success of Barbera d'Asti and Barbera del Monferrato. The great Barberas, Tre Roveri, Lavignone and Cantamerli, grow on the hills in their vineyard where they can absorb the maximum amount of light and heat.
This ruby red wine is light and fresh with aromas of cherry, raspberry, and watermelon followed by similar flavors on the palate. Soft earth notes appear on the delicate finish.
