Produced in Nelson County, Kentucky, Old Whiskey River benefits from the region's resources: limestone-purified water, oak forests for cooperage, and fertile farmland. Made with corn, barley, and rye mash and produced in small batches, this whiskey is aged for six years. Old Whiskey River was commissioned by Willie Nelson, and is crafted by master distillers Parker and Craig Beam. Nelson's commitment to Farm Aid carries through to his whiskey; the grains used are all grown on family owned and operated farms within 100 miles of the distillery. All of this results in an excellent value bourbon, boasting aromas and flavors of brown sugar, maple, corn, vanilla, and leather.
