The Old Sydney-Town Punch is a delicious spiced cocktail named for the area of San Francisco that eventually became known as the Barbary Coast.

Old Sydney-Town Punch

1 1/2 oz   Bols Genever
1/2 oz      St. Elizabeth Allspice Dram
3/4 oz      lemon juice*
1/2 oz      orange juice*
1/2 oz      pineapple gum syrup*

Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass, fill with ice and shake well for 10 seconds. Strain into a punch glass and serve up with a slight grate of nutmeg.
2. To make hot, strain above into a hot pot and then serve the same way. Or in lieu of ice, add 1.5 oz of hot water then shake, strain and serve.
