Oban is the frontier between the West Highlands and the Islands; the meeting place between land and sea. Established in 1794 by John and Hugh Stevenson, Oban is one of the oldest licensed distilleries in Scotland. The town grew up around the distillery and since its foundation, it has played an important role in local life.
Oban 18 Year Old is an alluring single malt offering an inviting nose of dried fruit, creamy vanilla and caramel, backed by distinctive maritime character. The medium-bodied palate displays a beautiful combination of rich, nutty toffee and spice, balanced by dried banana, citrus fruit, vanilla, sea salt and oak. A delicate wisp of smoke lingers through the complex finish.
