Nikolaihof is the oldest wine estate in Austria, whose history goes back almost 2000 years to Roman times. The winery operates in accordance with the regulations of the Demeter Association, one of the strictest control systems of organic agriculture. In order to create quality wine, but limit interference with nature, no herbicides, pesticides, or artificial fertilizers are used in the vineyards.
This vibrant Gruner Veltliner displays concentrated notes of fresh apple and pear backed by bright citrus and abundant minerality. A balanced palate, crisp acidity and a lingering, spicy finish allow this wine to pair well with poultry, pork, veal, and seafood.
