Located in the Yonkers Yoho Art District, Nahmias et Fils was founded by Dorit Nahmias, a former foreign exchange trader, and David Nahmias, a former computer-software engineer. David was raised in the small Moroccan town of Taznakht, where his parents and grandparents distilled Mahia, a unique spirit created from figs, dates and herbs, generally anise. Produced according to Moroccan tradition, Nahmias et Fils Mahia offers lovely fig and floral notes, complemented by hints of banana, pear, apple and apricot. Certified Kosher.
