McCarthy's Oregon Single Malt Whiskey is an unusual bottling: made on the West Coast, it is distilled from a fermented mash of peat-malted Scottish barley fermented by the Widmer Brothers Brewing Company and then aged for three years; though made in America, it follows in the tradition of Islay Scotch Whisky. It is crafted using one pass distillation--making large cuts of heads and tails--resulting in a full, flavorful, yet smooth spirit. The distillate is then aged in old sherry casks.
