Blackcurrants are grown in many regions in France, but the finest ones are grown in Burgundy. The region benefits from the warmth of a continental climate, and this accounts for the extra richness found in these blackcurrants as compared with those from other regions such as Saintonge in southwest France.

Mathilde Cassis captures fresh, perfectly ripe black currants in a bottle, sweetness, bite, acidity and all.
