Established in 1999, the Mackmyra Distillery produces high quality, award-winning whisky using local Swedish ingredients. Mackmyra "The First Edition" Swedish Whisky is handcrafted in small batches and matured in a combination of first-fill Bourbon casks and Swedish oak casks. These small, handmade casks are stored deep underground in the abandoned Bodås Mine, which provides the ideal aging conditions for Mackmyra whisky.

On the nose, this distinctive spirit offers bright notes of pear, apple and citrus fruit complemented by hints of vanilla and oak. Lively, peppery spice appears on the palate and merges with notes of dried fruit, caramel, honey and toasted bread. Hints of smoke and dark chocolate lend complexity to the toasted oak finish.
