The Le Salette estate consists of 50 acres located in the best areas of Classica Valpolicella. Owned by the Scamperle family which has cultivated vineyards for generations, Le Salette grows the classic varietals of the area: Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella and Molinara, as well as some Oseleta and Croatina. Le Salette never forces nature’s hand, but favors the rhythms of nature to extract the best characteristics of the Valpolicella appellation. Gambero Rosso describes the style of Le Salette wines as a meeting point of forcefulness and finesse.
This deep ruby-red color Amarone offers ripe, intense port-like aromas of hazelnut, raisin and blackberry. The palate is soft, rich and complex, featuring black raspberry, dried herb, soft raisin with hints of chocolate. The finish is long and lightly spiced.
"Ripe, black-skinned fruit, dark spice and chopped herbs abound on this structured red. The big, bold palate offers ripe black cherry, blackberry extract, mocha and licorice while round tannins envelop the palate." - Wine Enthusiast
