High West Distillery from Park City, Utah prides itself on creating handcrafted, small batch spirits. From 1825 to 1840, the "rendezvous" was the annual summer gathering of hunters to exchange pelts for supplies. While it was not one of the "supplies" at the first rendezvous, they corrected that problem by the second one. This whiskey was crafted from a blend of two rye whiskies: a 6 year old 95% rye and a 16 year old 80% rye. A higher proportion of unmalted rye gives it a unique flavor with notes of spicy cinnamon, caramel, honey, mint, and vanilla. High West does not chill filter, which preserves the whiskey's natural oils that contribute to the flavor and texture. Enjoy straight, on the rocks, or with a few drops of water. Each bottle is labeled with the barrel number.
