Description   The Gruet family began producing Champagne in 1952. In the early 1980s they wanted to expand, but were faced with a challenge—land in the coveted Champagne region is awfully hard to come by. After years of searching for a suitable substitute, they decided to found a new winery in an unlikely location: New Mexico. Careful analysis showed that this particular part of the Southwest provided climate and soil conditions surprisingly similar to the coveted appellation, allowing the Gruets to continue producing sparkling wines of the highest quality. Gruet Brut Methode Champenoise truly tastes like Champagne, but comes from Albuquerque. This is a truly excellent value. Product of New Mexico Alcohol by Volume: 12%
