One of the most noted producers in Piedmont, Cantina Giacomo Conterno was established in 1908 by bar owner Giovanni Conterno. It was at this time that he began purchasing grapes and producing his own Barolo, but it wasn't until 1920 that their flagship Riserva Barolo, Monfortino, was bottled and sold. Throughout the years, the winery has been passed down through the generations, and is currently run by Giovanni's grandson, Roberto. In 2008 he purchased land in Serralunga's prized Cerretta vineyard, and this Nebbiolo is one of the first Conterno wines to be produced from this vineyard.

Giacomo Conterno "Cerretta" Langhe Nebbiolo boasts an enticing nose of cherry, strawberry and dried roses. The medium bodied palate is soft, approachable and full of character, with bright notes of ripe fruit, geranium and mint that lead to a spicy, balanced finish. Enjoy through 2020.
