Four Roses is the only bourbon distillery that combines five proprietary yeast strains with two separate mashbills to produce ten distinct, handcrafted recipes, each with its own unique character and flavor profile. While these bourbons are usually blended, occasionally the Master Distiller discovers a limited number of exceptionally smooth and complex barrels, which are then bottled as single barrel, cask strength Private Selections. Created from the OESV recipe, Four Roses "Private Selection" offers an inviting nose of creamy vanilla, delicate fruit and baking spice. Complex notes of citrus, toffee, caramel, vanilla and oak emerge on the palate and linger through the finish. The barrel number is handwritten on the label and the side of the bottle is adorned with with a custom-made DrinkUpNY label.
