Four Roses is the only bourbon distillery that combines five proprietary yeast strains with two separate mashbills to produce ten distinct, handcrafted recipes, each with its own unique character and flavor profile. While these bourbons are usually blended, occasionally the Master Distiller discovers a limited number of exceptionally smooth and complex barrels and invites a few select retailers to a private tasting. DrinkUpNY was one of these privileged few, and Four Roses "DrinkUpNY Single Barrel" Barrel Strength Bourbon was carefully selected by the DrinkUpNY buyers. Created from the OBSV recipe, the nose offers inviting aromas of sweet spice and dried fruit, while the smooth, mellow palate displays vanilla, caramel and oak. The barrel number is handwritten on the label and the side of the bottle is adorned with with a custom-made DrinkUpNY label.
