Produced in Alameda, California by St. George Spirits distiller Dave Smith and business partner Jeff Kessenjer, Firelit Spirits Coffee Liqueur is a unique small batch spirit created in collaboration with various coffee roasters in the San Francisco Bay Area. For the current release, Firelit cold-brewed high quality coffee beans from San Francisco's Four Barrel Coffee, then blended the liquid coffee with unaged high-proof brandy. The remaining grounds were then infused into a separate batch of brandy which was distilled and added to the original blend. It is then matured for a short period of time and sweetened with cane syrup just before bottling. The result is a delicious, natural-tasting liqueur that drinks like a lightly sweetened cup of robust espresso.
