This review concerns only what should be a side issue, the cork on the bottle. A layer of hard black wax covers the cork, which must be shattered and picked out before the cork can be extracted. Inevitably some of the wax falls inside the bottle. Then one must pour out the calvados into a container, hoping that the wax comes out too. It does not entirely do so, so the wasteful process must be eliminated. That said, the calvados is fine. Just the cork is terrible.

Beautiful, well-rounded Calvados. The apple inside provides a mild intensification of the natural apple aromas and adds a touch of sweetness. Very pleasant.
