Domaine de Canton was described as "a perfect liqueur" in F. Paul Pacult's Spirit Journal, and he wasn't exaggerating. This spirit is crafted from VSOP cognac, baby ginger, vanilla beans, Provencal honey, and Tunisian ginseng, and the result is sublime; with subtle sweetness and a spicy, savory kick, Canton tastes like the Platonic ideal of ginger (and will certainly fare better in cocktails than the root). If you enjoy mixing, this is an absolute must.

My housemates and I picked this one out of novelty, and we are glad that we did! The ginger spice and the cognac base are blended superbly. We found that it was most enjoyable straight, and difficult to mix with withou destroying it's character. If you mix, the less complex the better maybe ginger beer or ale.
