Established for several generations on the peak of Sancerre, the Fouassier family is one of the oldest wine grower families in the area, and one of the relatively few still producing after the phylloxera crisis in the Sancerre village. Clos Paradis was planted in 1902, and the vines are still tended without the use of chemical fertilizers.
This beautifully aromatic Sancerre shows lovely notes of citrus, melon, fresh herbs, fig, and mineral. On the palate, it is vibrant, supple and unctuous with satisfying flavors of lemon, grapefruit, lime, tangerine and honey. Enjoy as an aperitif, with fish, or white meat.
