Domaine D'Esperance, a formerly abandoned estate on a hillside in the Sables Fauves of Gascony, was purchased and renovated in 1990 by Jean-Louis and Claire de Montesquiou. The estate's fruit-forward armagnac is produced with Baco 22A and Folle Blanche grown in the sandy clay soil of Grand-Bas-Armagnac at the border of the Landes and the Gers at Mauvezin d'Armagnac. After the grapes undergo natural fermentation, the wine is distilled in a traditional Armagnac still and then reduced to the proper proof.

On the nose, Domaine D'Esperance Blanche Armagnac displays expressive aromas of stone fruit, pear and gentian root, accented by a touch of raspberry. The palate opens with elegant floral notes leading to flavors of bitter almond, cherry and honeysuckle with delicate hints of spice adding depth and complexity to the finish.
