Domaine Monte de Luz Tannat Reserva was created through the collaboration of Jacques Lesgourgues, proprietor of Laubade Armagnac, and Gabriel Gallot, reputed geologist. Uruguay presents a unique terroir for winemaking, and the Monte de Luz vineyards are located on 90 acres of the Mahoma mountain at an elevation of 500 feet, and the Reserva is created from the best five acres of Tannat grapes. After aging in French oak barrels for 12 months, it develops a complex nose of blackberry, cherry, tobacco and chocolate. The palate is mouth filling and textured with balanced fruit and acidity.
