The Benedictine Monk for which Dom Perignon is named famously exclaimed "I see stars!" upon his first taste of Champagne. Dom Perignon has been produced by Moet & Chandon since 1936, and has since has become known as one of the greatest Champagnes in the world. As Dom Perignon is only produced during the finest vintages, each release is a unique yet consistently excellent expression of the region. The eponymous monk's transcendent experience lingers in every bottle of Moet & Chandon's refined cuvee.
This is a lively vintage, displaying aromas of tropical fruits, dried flowers, cocoa, tobacco, cinnamon and honey. The palate is full, earthy, smoky and complex with warm spicy notes that transform and undulate through mature fruit, aniseed and brioche. The finish is pronounced, flavorful, and long. A blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, Dom Perignon is suitable for the grandest of occasions.
