Located in the center of the Santa Lucia Highlands, The Lucienne Doctor’s Vineyard is one of their four designated vineyards to grow limited production Pinot Noirs. The vineyard consists of an array of Pinot Noir clones, each contributing to a desired color, aroma, flavor, texture, or structural element to the finished wine.
Doctor's Vineyard "Lucienne" Pinot Noir is a robust, red wine offering notes of red cherry, dark fruits, spices and a hint of toasty vanilla, accentuated by subtle potpourri nuances. The expansive palate offers velvety mouthfeel and gentle tannins with additional aromas of cola and clove spice. Hints of red plum and crisp minerality lingers through the long, dry finish.
"Exhibits a rich, juicy core of blackberry, wild berry and pomegranate, with spicy floral scents that are expansive on the palate. Ends with a long, intricate aftertaste that reverberates with flavor. Drink now through 2022." - Wine Spectator
"Vivid ruby. Sexy smoke-accented red and dark berries on the nose, with a potpourri nuance adding complexity. Sweet, penetrating black raspberry and cola flavors are sharpened by tangy minerality, delivering solid punch while coming off as lithe. The sappy, very persistent, gently tannic finish repeats the red fruit and floral notes, showing very good clarity and alluring spiciness." - Vinous Media
