Established in 1892, Dewazakura was a very small brewery started by the Nakanos, a wealthy family from Tendo. In 1981, the company released their "Oka Ginjo", which was the first aromatic, floral and fruit-forward ginjo to emerge during a time when the most common style was light, dry and clean. Dewazakura Oka "Thirtieth Anniversary" is a classic recreation of the original, with vibrant notes of pear, melon, apple and cherry blossom. Balanced acidity and a crisp, clean finish allow this sake to pair well with clams on the half-shell, lightly dressed salads and white fish sushi or sashimi.
Due to the delicate nature of this product, we highly recommend upgrading to overnight shipping if you live outside of our immediate delivery area (New York City, Long Island, Southeastern NY, CT, DE, MD, Washington DC, RI and Eastern PA); ideally, sake should be outside of refrigeration for as short a time as possible. Please contact customer service at info@drinkupny.com if you have any questions concerning sake shipping.
