Established by Herman Mihalich and John Cooper, Mountain Laurel Spirits is a Pennsylvania-based craft distillery determined to continue the state's tradition of whiskey production which dates back to the eighteenth century. Named in honor of Mihalich's father, Dad's Hat Rye is distilled from locally sourced rye grain and matured in charred, white oak quarter casks. The resulting spirit delivers a bold, upfront note of spice, complemented by well-integrated notes of citrus, pepper, cinnamon and dried orchard fruit.
