This elegant Cabernet is blended from carefully selected Napa benchland vineyards. These provide optimal growing conditions for the Cabernet Sauvignon vines and impart the concentrated grapes with a subtle minerality. Produced in extremely small quantities, this is a superbly balanced red of great depth and complexity. The bouquet is rich and dark with aromas of blackcurrant, black cherry, plum, and violet. The palate introduces additional characteristics of blueberry, chocolate, fig, sweet spice and toast, while the finish is delightfully long and multi-dimensional.
Corison Cabernet has excellent potential for aging; with dry, assertive tannins and robust fruit, this bottling will continue to evolve for at least a decade.
