


The Expresiones del Corazon Tequila Anejo is created by master distiller Miguel Cedeno Cruz using traditional methods and proprietary yeast for fermentation and distillation. Two sets of agave were used: lower sugar content agave which offers more minerality but little drier on aroma and agave with higher sugar content to obtain residual sugar and more floral notes. The agave is slow cooked in stone ovens and distilled in stainless steel pots utilizing fresh spring water from the Highlands of Jalisco creating a crisp, complex Blanco that is the base for all their aged expressions.
This Anejo expression has been aged for 23 months in Old Rip Van Winkle bourbon barrels transforming into vivid notes of Lemon Tea, vanilla and herbal notes. The palate entry is creamy and oaky, but quickly changes with intense flavors of nut butter, pepper, and light caramel that follow through to the long, elegant finish.
