While most gins are produced with grain based alcohol, Comb 9 Gin is created with the essence of the honey spirit used in their Comb Vodka. Although honey can be difficult to work with, it can provide numerous flavors depending on the source of nectar. Clover, wildflowers, raspberry, citrus, tulip poplar, and tupelo, are just a few of the nectar sources that bees use to make honey. Each one contributes its unique character and allows the distillery to create a distinctive, well-balanced spirit that is surprisingly dry. This spirit is then gently re-distilled with select botanicals, giving Comb 9 a floral nose and a smooth, refreshing finish.
