Hailing from Buffalo Trace Distillery, this limited edition bourbon is the forth in the series that was created in honor of Colonel Edmund Haynes Taylor, Jr. - one of the founding fathers of the bourbon industry. Produced in extremely limited quantities, this whiskey is "Uncut & Unfiltered" at 135.4 proof. This release of Colonel E.H. Taylor, Jr. Bourbon is created by batching seven year old barrels from the Tornado Surviving Warehouse C of Buffalo Trace's iconic brick warehouse.
Produced in extremely limited quantities and "Uncut & Unfiltered" at 135.4 proof, this release of Colonel E.H. Taylor, Jr. Bourbon is bold, feisty and full of character. The nose starts of with aromas of dried fig and cloves, followed by a balanced baking spice and an oaky dryness. The palate is aligned with nose with notes of dark chocolate, tobacco and hints of pepper. The rich, long finish is accentuated by light honey and a touch of smoke.
