Established two hundred years ago in the town of Alenquer, Casa Santos Lima has been owned and operated by the Santos Lima family for six generations. The estate boasts more than fifty different national and international grape varieties, and have worked to maintain almost extinct Portuguese varietals.

A blend of Castelao, Camarate, Touriga Nacional and Tinta Miuda, Casa Santos Lima "Cigarra" is a highly aromatic red with lively notes of raspberry, cherry and cassis on the nose and palate. A four month maturation in oak barriques lends delicate hints of spice.
