Dating back to 1416, Chateau de Saint Cosme is the most ancient estate in the Gigondas appellation. The Barruol family has owned and operated the property since 1490 and it is currently run by the fourteenth generation of the family, who have preserved the Gallo-Roman fermentation vats in the winery and the medieval Saint Cosme Chapel in the vineyard, as well as other aspects of this historic land.

Chateau de Saint Cosme "Les Deux Albion" is an elegant blend of syrah, grenache, carignan, mourvedre and clairette, which have been fermented together and matured in both wooden and concrete vats. An assertive nose of cherry, cassis, dried flowers and white pepper leads to a powerful palate offering a complex array of dark fruit and spice notes. Structured tannins and refreshing acidity merge with earthy herbal notes on the long, spicy finish.
