Founded in 1859 by Antonio Alves Calem, the Porto Calem product range has received an outstanding number of prizes and awards. They source their grapes from the Quinta do Arnozelo in the Douro region and after the winemaking process, mature the wines in the company cellars in Vila Nova de Gaia.
Matured in oak casks for seven years, Calem Special Reserve Tawny Port displays distinctive notes of dried red fruit, toasted almond, walnut and caramel, complemented by an undercurrent of spice. It's moderate sweetness is balanced by firm tannins and lively acidity which culminates in a long, elegant finish.
