Giuseppe Caffo built his small distillery in 1915 with the hope that he could create the finest liqueurs from native Italian aromatic fruits and medicinal herbs. Using high quality, all-natural ingredients, combined with complex, but delicious recipes, Caffo established his company, which has grown immensely over time. Today, the distillery is still owned and operated by the family, who still employ the traditional production methods used to create these famous Italian liqueurs.

This pure, smooth grappa is distilled from grape skins from ancient Greek varietals that were brought to southern Italy centuries ago. Sweet and aromatic, with soft notes of fruit and spice, this is an excellent representation of Calabrian grappa, historically known as Magna Grecia.

Drinkable...Barely April 22, 2011

It is drinkable, especially with a bit of breathing, but this has a very pronounce vulcanized rubber nose and taste to it.  I can't say I would buy this again.

The Carpene Malvolti is a much better option, and a good value, if you want to try out a decent Grappa and see if it is for you without investing too much.
