Cacao Prieto was founded by Daniel Prieto Preston, an inventor and aerospace engineer, whose family has been farming organic cacao and sugar cane in the Dominican Republic for more than 100 years. Organic sugars from the Dominican Republic, as well as organic cacao beans from the family's Coralina farms, are transported to Red Hook, Brooklyn, where they are expertly transformed into artisanal rum, liqueur and chocolate.

Distilled from organic Dominican cacao and sugarcane, Cacao Prieto "Don Esteban" is a perfectly balanced rum-based liqueur boasting luscious notes of rich dark chocolate, sugar cane, toffee, vanilla and caramel. Subtle notes of spicy citrus emerge on the finish. Although excellent neat or over ice, in the hands of mixologists, the possibilities are endless. Certified Kosher Pareve.
