Olive Hill is a super-rich yet stunningly elegant Rhone blend. The color is deep and bright. On the nose, the wine exhibits great complexity – a mixture of 'sweet' dark-berry fruits with a hint of perfumed, harmonious oak. On the palate, texture, flavor and finish are again in beautiful balance. French oak is used exclusively for the 15 months' aging for this wine, of which approximately 30% is new. Shiraz (48%), Grenache (30%), Mourvedre (12%), and Cabernet (10%). Because of the wine’s texture and balance, it’s very approachable now; however with another 3-5 years plus it should be stunning. A complex, sophisticated red from an outstanding vintage year.
