Description
 
Bunnahabhain Distillery was established in 1881 on the north-eastern tip of Islay. Known for their lightly peated malts, the gentle taste of Bunnahabhain is due partly to the lightly peated malted barley used in its creation, as well as the pure Margadale River spring water which is located underground, away from the peaty moorlands.

Although known for their gentle, fruit-forward malts, Bunnahabhain is going back to their Islay roots with the release of "Toiteach" Single Malt. "Toiteach", meaning "smokey" in Scots Gaelic, displays complex aromas of dried fruit and spice, backed by a gentle smokiness. The palate however, opens with warming spice notes and bold peat smoke, which merges with fig, raisin, dates and cracked black pepper. Hints of toasted nuts and vanilla appear on the finish.
