Domaine Bourillon Dorléans, founded in 1921 by Gaston Dorléans and for the last three generations, the Bourillon Dorléans family have dedicated themselves to carrying on a traditional approach of producing their Vouvray wines. From the winegrowers of Vouvray, Frédéric Bourillon selects only top-quality blends that meet his requirements in terms of the quality of the viticulture and of respect for the environment. To qualify for blending, they must reflect the importance of the concept of terroir and remain faithful to the Domaine Bourillon Dorléans philosophy: integrated pest management, natural vegetation growth around the vines, and limitation of yields.
Just barely off-dry, the fruit exhibits a delightful exotic overtones of pear, fig and green apple while the acids provide excellent balancing zip and freshness. The finish of this restrained, elegant demi-sec is long and minerally.
