Bols Genever is the award-winning 1820 Dutch recipe for Holland’s favorite spirit category, genever. The historic recipe is a rich, full-bodied spirit made of a precious whisky-like triple distillate of rye, wheat and corn - what the Dutch call malt wine - blended with a botanical and juniper berry distillate, resulting in a wonderfully balanced, full-flavored spirit. Many classic cocktails called for genever in their original incarnations, and while Bols' interpretation is weighty enough to please the palate straight, it's still extremely cocktail-friendly.

We'll admit it: what first attracted us to Boxhead Shiraz was the label. But upon tasting this Aussie red, we were pleasantly surprised that the juice lived up to the bottle.
