Barrell Bourbon batch #010 is crafted from a mash bill of 75% corn, 21% rye and 4% malted barley. Distilled in Tennessee and aged in Kentucky for 8 years in freshly charred oak barrels, Barrell Bourbon is bottled at full barrel strength without any artificial color or additives. They perform a simple filtering through a fine screen filter to remove the pieces of charcoal and other sediments to preserve all the goodness.
Golden Amber in color, the Barrell Bourbon offers enticing notes of vanilla pods, dark cherries, woody caramel and oak. Bold oak notes carry through to the rich and thick palate, and merge with cinnamon apple sauce, caramelized sugars, vanilla & nutmeg cookies and black pepper. A hint of sweetness appears on the long, warming finish, accented by hints of rye spice and black tea.
