Silver Medal - San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2010
The A. Edmond Dupuy & Co distillery was established in 1852, but bought by Norwegian immigrant Thomas Bache-Gabrielson in 1905, who decided to keep its Cognac tradition. Today, the company is owned and operated by his great grandson Herve, and their high quality cognacs are produced under the watchful eye of the experienced cellar master, Jean-Philippe Bergier.
Produced without the traditional permitted additives (caramel, sugar and oak extract), the Natur & Eleganse VSOP is a blend of 75% Fins Bois Cognac and 25% Borderies Cognac. Aged in Limousin oak casks for over 5 years, it is light, fresh and dry with complex notes of vanilla, citrus fruit and almond with hints of dark chocolate and orange peel on the finish.
