Avua is a small batch, single sourced cachaca expertly handcrafted by one of Brazil's few female distillers. She grows the sugarcane at her family's hillside farm, located about four hours north of Rio de Janeiro.
Being true with the Brazilian tradition, Avua Oak Cachaca is aged for up to 2 years in French Oak, orcarvalho, previously used to age white wine. The resulting spirit offers warm, savory notes of vanilla, butterscotch and lemongrass, backed by dried herbs. A subtle but pleasant bitterness emerges on the dry finish.
