Aged in caratelli for 10 years, Avignonesi "Occhio di Pernice" is a rich, viscous and intensely sweet Prugnolo Gentile which shows remarkable power and density. A pronounced nose of dried fruit, roasted chestnut, brown sugar, sweet fig and espresso elegantly merge with mocha, licorice, leather, vanilla and caramel on the graceful, full-bodied palate.
