Description   Founded in 1878, and ceasing operation in 1974, the house of A. Edmond Audry is "the best Cognac you have never heard of," and "difficult to find in the U.S. but worth the extra legwork" according to Time Magazine (Oct. 30, 2005). The brand was reestablished in in the late 1970s by the founder's great-great-grandson, relying on old stocks from the distillery. These are spirits of remarkable depth and complexity, and are absolute must-tries for any cognac connoisseur. Though priced at entry level, Audry Cognac Napoleon is made to the same standards as the other excellent offerings. This fine Champagne Cognac is blended from 20 different lots ranging in age from 12 to 18 years, well beyond the defined minimum for an X.O. Enticing aromas and flavors of candied citrus, caramel, smoke, rose petal, and peach last though a delicate, dry, and lingering finish. Product of France Alcohol by Volume: 40%
