Alpha Zeta was started in 1999 when David Gleave and New Zealand winemaker, Matt Thompson, set out to produce a range of modern, fruit-forward wines from the hills outside Verona. Their aim was to work closely with the local growers to obtain high quality grapes by reducing yields and harvesting later in the season. This light, refreshing wine, composed of 75% Gargenega and 25% Trebbiano di Soave, displays crisp, clean notes of green apple, ripe pear, and citrus fruit from start to finish. It is an excellent pairing for chicken, seafood, shellfish, and light pasta dishes.
