Established in 2002, Vinedos Alonso del Yerro is located in the heart of Ribera del Duero near the small village of Roa. Composed entirely of Tempranillo and aged in new French oak for 18 months, Alonso del Yerro "Maria" is powerful, expressive and intense. On the nose, bold aromas of black fruit, espresso and lavender are enhanced by a complex undertone of game, mineral and smoke. The rich, balanced palate offers concentrated notes of blackberry, cherry, tobacco and chocolate, complemented by silky tannins and a persistent floral finish.
