Penderyn is Wales' only single malt whisky, produced at a rate of a mere one cask per day at one of the smallest distilleries in the world. Aur Cymru, translating to "Welsh Gold," is an apt name for this small-production spirit. After distillation, this whisky is first aged in American oak Bourbon barrels, and then finished in Madeira casks to impart a generous flavor and subtle complexity. Penderyn is smooth and luscious, with enticing flavors of cream toffee and fresh leather, finishing with notes of tropical fruit, raisin and vanilla. Optional original packaging is a cardboard box with cutout windows.
